Abstracts: With the serious rapid development of beach environment, most of the agricultural crops and landscape plants could not survive on the large beach area. The available landscape plants are very limited with the rare variety and less attractiveness, which can’t satisfy the current marketing demand. Rosa rugosa is a kind of important landscape plants, potentially provide the reference for the future cultivar selectio

n and cultivation of landscape species, as for its salt resistance. To better evaluate the salttolerance of Rosa rugosa,the effects of different concentrations of NaCl on the seed germination of Rosa rugosa was conducted. the results shows that high concentrations of salt processing (0.8% NaCl) together with more than 8 hrs soaking depressed the seed germination. Moreover, all the salt stress processing postponed the germination progress.
